Michael Spencer is a DOT Compliance Specialist and Technical Investigator with eRisk Solutions. In his role, he provides members with FMCSA/DOT consultation, conducts Mock DOT Audits to ensure compliance, and delivers in-depth training as needed. As a Technical Investigator, Michael assists members involved in accidents by reviewing federal and local regulations to ensure proper application. He retired honorably after 25 years with the Massachusetts State Police, where he spent 12 years in the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section. During that time, he became a certified DOT Inspector, served as a New Entrant Safety Auditor, and completed thousands of audits in close collaboration with the FMCSA Massachusetts Division. Michael also trained fellow troopers to become certified Safety Auditors, building long-standing relationships with carriers that continue to seek his expertise. He is a member of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and holds certifications in driver, vehicle, hazardous materials, cargo tank, motor coach, and safety audit inspections.
