Derek Davidson

Since July 2022, Derek Davidson has held the title of Chief Underwriting Officer of Specialty Business at eMaxx. Current role and responsibilities include profitable growth in captive new business, strong renewal retention and ensuring the goals of the insurance carrier and captive members are met in performance, product offering, service, and stability. Prior to this role, Derek served as a Chief Underwriting Officer for other various Captive programs at eMaxx, as well as held a Regional Vice President title of Distribution for eMaxx from 2013-2019. Derek started in the insurance industry in 2006 at Willis Programs (now AMWINS Programs), as a rating specialist and worked up through client management, associate underwriting into a production underwriting role. Through his 18-year carrier, Derek has built expertise through all stages and department roles of an MGA organization and within many industry sectors including but not limited to: transportation, hospitality, garage liability and hazardous materials. He is a graduate at Daniel Webster College in 2005 with a B.S. in MIST – Management information system Technology and carries an active FL 220 P&C license.
