Hollis (Les) W. Day is the Safety Director for Mountain F. Enterprises, a California-based utility vegetation management, line clearance, logging, and forestry contractor. He also serves as a safety advisor and business development lead for affiliated companies, supporting safety programs, operational risk management, claims oversight, and organizational improvement. Les oversees the company’s workers’ compensation claims advocacy process, including injury reporting, incident investigation, medical coordination, return-to-work planning, claim reviews, and communication with adjusters, attorneys, healthcare providers, supervisors, and injured employees. Drawing on decades of experience in utility arboriculture, forestry, workplace safety, and operational risk management, he brings a practical field and employer perspective to claims management, with a focus on early intervention, injury prevention, claim strategy, and controlling workers’ compensation costs. Les is an ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist and TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional and serves on the committee responsible for ANSI Z133 and the Utility Arborist Association Safety Committee.
