Chris Dowling serves as the Refined Fuels Compliance Manager for eRisk Solutions, where he works with propane marketers nationwide to strengthen safety, regulatory compliance, and loss prevention programs. A 26-year veteran of the City of Peabody Fire Department in Massachusetts, Chris primarily served as Fire Prevention Officer and leader of the Fire Investigation Unit. Prior to his fire service career, he served in the United States Army as an Airborne Infantry Squad Leader with the 82nd Airborne Division and 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. A nationally certified fire investigator, Chris holds the Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI) and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI) designations and is a court-qualified expert witness and experienced private fire investigator and subrogation expert, providing testimony on fire origin and cause, fire code compliance, and investigative methodology. He currently serves as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators and is a Past President of the Fire Prevention Association of Massachusetts. In his role with eRisk Solutions Chris evaluates operational risk, develops safety and compliance programs, conducts field assessments, and provides technical guidance to help organizations identify risks before they become losses and build a culture of safety.
