Peter Cummings

Peter Cummings is the Vice President of Technical Investigations at eRisk Solutions and manages accident, fire and explosion and other technical investigations. He was honorably discharged from the Massachusetts State Police on December 31, 2010, after completing twenty-seven years in law enforcement, retiring with the rank of sergeant. Prior to his retirement from the State Police and in the preceding ten years, Peter was a team leader in the State Police Fire and Explosion Investigations Unit, within the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Previous to that, Peter was an investigator and senior trooper assigned to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where he investigated complex organized crime and narcotic investigations. He is a Certified Fire Investigator with the International Association of Arson Investigators, a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator with the National Association of Fire Investigators, a Certified Fire Investigations Instructor with the National Association of Fire Investigators, and is a member of both organizations.
