Medy Beauchane began his workers’ compensation journey in a law practice specializing in representing injured workers. He worked as a Hearing Representative from 1996 until passing the bar in 2003. In 2005, Medy took on his first job as a workers’ compensation defense attorney, and realized that the defense practice was more in keeping with his personal philosophies relative to the workers’ compensation system. Medy became a certified specialist in workers’ compensation in 2013, and presently manages the Chico and Redding offices of Mullen & Filippi. Medy represents a wide variety of employers in California, from public agencies (cities, counties, and special districts) to private employer enterprises. Medy is designated counsel for several captive insurance programs, for which he provides – in addition to representation before the WCAB – training and education to employer groups to aid in mitigating risk.
