Matt Crotts is an experienced energy and finance executive with a diverse background spanning mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, physical commodity trading, and energy marketing. He began his career in mergers and acquisitions, advising companies across the telecommunications, media, financial services, and energy sectors. He later spent two years providing third-party consulting services focused on bankruptcy and restructuring, primarily for exploration and production companies. He then joined a private physical trading company as Vice President of Finance, overseeing financial reporting, credit, cash management, export documentation, and balance sheet management before transitioning to a commercial role focused on crude and refined products trading. In 2019, he founded Westico Energy, a Midland, Texas-based fuel distributor serving commercial and oilfield customers, and in 2023 founded Troubadour Energy, a Houston-based crude marketing company. He earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering and an MBA from Texas A&M University.
