Joe Sweeting

Joe joined AXIS in October 2019 as Head of Lloyd’s Casualty within the reinsurance division. He is also is a member of the Executive Committee for AXIS Syndicate and sits on both the Group Operational Risk and Risk Management Committees. The Lloyd’s Casualty team writes both US and International Treaty Reinsurance across multiple lines within the Liability and Professional lines segments. Joe has over 20 years of market experience. He started in Claims before moving to Casualty Underwriting with Amlin Syndicate where he spent a decade with the team. After leaving Amlin he formed the Casualty Reinsurance portfolio at Hiscox and was then part of the team that started the Vibe Syndicate Casualty portfolio. Joe holds a BSc (hons) in Law and Psychology, is ACII qualified and holds the title of Chartered Insurer.
