Chris Calascione

Chris Calascione is the Safety Director for Samuel Coraluzzo Co. Inc., one of the largest fuel transporting companies on the east coast. Chris has been a valued member of the company for 18 years, with 32 years of experience in the trucking industry. During this time, his role has evolved from a company driver to the Operations Manager at the company’s Trans Loading Rail facility, along with Terminal Manager of multiple terminals. Coraluzzo employs 875 total employees, of which 650 are drivers who drive over 30 million miles a year, and support staff at 21 terminals. As the Safety Director for the entire company, Chris oversees the safety and training of those locations, and the numbers keep growing. He recognizes the importance of a great safety team that understands we are all coaches at every level. Chris’ leadership style is centered on earning respect from his team by working hard, leading by example, offering encouragement, listening to your team, and giving sound guidance to be successful at their job.
