Chris Calascione

Chris Calascione is the Safety Director at Samuel Coraluzzo Co. Inc., one of the largest fuel transport companies on the east coast. Chris has been a valued member of the company for 19 years.  During this time his role evolved from being a company driver, to Operations Manager of the rail transload facility, to Terminal Manager of multiple terminals.  His talents are currently focused on being their Safety Director. Samuel Coraluzzo Co. has 875 total employees and 22 terminals.  Those terminals consist of 650 drivers who drive over 30 million miles a year.  Chris oversees the safety/training of those locations, and the numbers keep growing. Chris has 33 years in the trucking industry and throughout that time he has had a wide range of experiences that led him to grow in the knowledge of his profession. He recognizes that as Safety Director you must have a great safety team who understand the common goal that we are all coaches at every level.  Chris’ leadership style is centered on earning respect from his team by:  working hard, leading by example, offering encouragement, listening to your team, and giving sound guidance that leads them to always be successful in their job.  His motto is “There is no I in T.E.A.M.
