Brookes Townsend is the President of Townsend, a fourth-generation family business where he and his brother Courtney Townsend continue a legacy of service and leadership alongside their father, Jim Townsend, a third-generation leader. Brookes grew-up immersed in the company, starting hands-on at a young age by pulling hoses on oil and propane trucks. After earning a Bachelor of Science from George Washington University, where he played four years of Division 1 baseball, Brookes launched two startups in the food & beverage and sports tech industries. Following successful exits from both ventures, he joined Townsend full time in 2018. In 2020, while working full-time, Brookes earned his MBA from UNC Chapel Hill with a focus on strategy and entrepreneurship. His blend of entrepreneurial drive, academic insight, and deep-rooted industry experience continues to shape the company’s growth and future.
