Brian McCarthy

Brian McCarthy serves as the President and CEO of eMaxx. Brian McCarthy led Energi, the predecessor company, on a significant growth trajectory from an industrial reinsurance entity into a virtual InsurTech insurance company with expansion across the U.S. and internationally. Over the past fifteen years, Brian McCarthy has overseen business development, underwriting, claims, operations and technology for the Company. He has acted as the visionary for technology development, led the transition of providing programs that align with market trends, and worked with leadership of eMaxx to develop risk management and claims programs to mitigate the impact of litigation financing. A serial entrepreneur, he brings expertise in financing structures, accounting, insurance and technology operations. Brian McCarthy previously founded and led brokerage operations, providing him broader knowledge of the insurance industry. He has served on several insurance association boards and is currently a member of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce along with The Light Foundation.
