Zach Jason is a Principal Engineer at AEI Corporation with over 20 years of experience, providing mechanical engineering and forensic analysis for investigations throughout the U.S., as well as internationally. Specializing in fire and explosion investigations, his expertise spans the energy sector, including natural gas and propane utilities, oil and gas exploration and production, petrochemical refining, pipeline transportation, and more. As a certified Fire & Explosion Investigator, he has served as a testifying expert witness in numerous federal and state courts for law firms, insurance companies, and Fortune 500 companies. Zach has extensive experience investigating residential, commercial, and industrial fires, as well as large-scale fuel-gas and chemical explosions. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Denver, is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states, and is Board Certified in Forensic Engineering through the National Academy of Forensics. Additionally, he serves on both the NFPA-400 Hazardous Materials, and NFPA-54 National Fuel Gas Code Committees.
