Nick Gristina is a partner with the Porteous, Hainkel & Johnson law firm in Louisiana. He received his B.A. from Millsaps College with a major in philosophy and then earned a Bachelor of Civil Law and Juris Doctor from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. As lead counsel, Nick has successfully defended large corporate retailers, transportation companies and national insurers in civil cases involving premises liability, casualty, bad faith and automobile personal injury tort claims. Nick was previously appointed to the expedited jury trial committee of the Louisiana Law Institute and is currently assisting the La Law Institute on potential revisions to the La. Motion for Summary Judgment procedure. He’s been recognized by his peers and Super Lawyers Magazine as a Louisiana Rising Star every year from 2012-2017 and as a Super Lawyer every year from 2018-2022. Additionally, Nick is a frequent speaker/presenter on legal topics at conferences and seminars throughout the nation.
