Mike Duncan has been in the electrical utility construction and maintenance business for over 49 years. Having served as a Journeyman Lineman in the Distribution, Transmission, and Substation Departments, he brings an extensive background of electrical knowledge to F&H Contractors. Mike has earned degrees in Electrical Engineering, Psychology, and Business Administration along with his OSHA 500 instructor certification. Mike retired after 38 years as the District Manager of a power utility company in Central Florida. He then went into the consulting business with companies throughout the country as a construction advisor for power distribution, transmission, and substation. Mike came to F&H Contractors in 2015 and presently serves as the Director of Safety and Training. Throughout his vast experience, the Safety of employees engaged in the electrical utility business has been and will always be a primary focus concerning safety principles and Human Performance. Mike’s purpose and commitment to the safety of employees will remain the most important aspect of his duties. Understanding that a behavioral based safety approach equips employees to understand the importance of Hazard Recognition and Mitigation, and the empowerment of the employee to remain safe for himself and for those working with him.
