David Gurney joined eMaxx Loss Prevention operations in May. He previously served 13 years as Vice President, Operations, at Tropic Oil Company and Parkland Canada, a 25-nation multinational where he directed Operational Excellence and supervised HSE screening and cultural integration for 15 merger-acquisitions. A tactical jet pilot with over 4,000 mishap-free flight hours, David commanded a Harrier squadron and matriculated from the Naval Postgraduate School as an Aviation Safety Officer, supervising fixed and rotary wing mishap investigations. He is President Emeritus of the Deep Draft Lubricant Association and serves on the board. David is a former Marine Corps colonel, a Senior Fellow at the Institute for National Strategic Studies, and editor-in-chief of two national security journals. He is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and holds two graduate degrees.
