Dan Briggs

Dan has been with Liberty for over two years in his current role within the Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LMRe) Claims team, with a special focus on Casualty business. Dan Joined LMRe from CNA Hardy where he worked within the ceded Re team for 4 years, working alongside the reinsurance buyers and outwards operation manager of recoveries. In his role he handled classes including Property, Casualty, Marine, Energy, Financial & Commercial Institutions and Technology & Cyber. Prior to this Dan spent 19 years working for a Reinsurance broker. The latter 4 years were within the Marine, Energy, Political Risk and Credit placement team at JLT Re. Before that, Dan spent 15 years as a reinsurance claims broker / technician for Denis Claytons, who then became Towers Watson and eventually JLT Re. His primary focus during this time was working with the North American team, handling their Casualty claims, which included exposure to Workers Compensation, Employers Liability and Lawyers Liability claims as well as Commercial General Liability and Auto Liability. Dan then handled Marine, Energy & Specialty claims which included involvement in fixed P&I, Cargo and Political Risks & Credit losses.
